I've spent a lot of time trying to get my products out there, but really, who wants to do all that work when a website can promote, advertise, and sell for you? I've got a mashup of sites that you can utilize when making money from home. The best ones of all let you make the coveted passive income: An income you earn while putting very little time and effort into the process or business.
1.
Referrals and Affiliate Links
Referrals are an excellent way for both you and your followers to gain benefits. From freebies to small monetary incentives, using referrals creates a win-win situation for bloggers and their readers. If you're looking for a few extra bucks, put your referral links out there! Once you've posted or shared your referral links, there's nothing left to do but
sit back and watch your benefits grow. Below are resources that have worked for me, along with my referral links.
If you choose to go the affiliate and referral route, be sure to
use a disclaimer. It is best practice to post your disclaimer at the top of your post or near the product listing.
2.
Tailwind
Tailwind is a website that allows you to schedule Pinterest and Instagram posts. Not only can you schedule a re-pin to happen while you're commuting, making dinner, or heading to the dog park, but Tailwind will
give you analytics and data for free. You can pay for more advanced services if Tailwind ends up being a promotional tool that works well for your situation and lifestyle. By scheduling in advance, you can plan your self-promotion wisely and make an income while you're living life.
Tailwind features a no-nonsense, user-friendly sidebar that allows you to do things like "Monitor Your Domain," "Track Your Brand Page," and "Optimize Content" with a Pin Inspector. There is even a Chrome Add-On that lets you create a future post with a few clicks.
Your first 100 posts are free, which is a Godsend for those trying to start out their first blog or other business.
3.
Teachers Pay Teachers
I know, I know, you aren't all teachers out there, but if you make products for teachers or for teachers who are learning to create an online business, you can sell on
Teachers Pay Teachers. TpT offers a domain for posting worksheets, lessons, professional development, and more.
There are no upfront costs; instead, TpT gets a portion of every sale, meaning that
they only get paid if you get paid. You also get to set the price or post products for free, leaving you in total control if your store. You'll get monthly deposits into your PayPal account from your sales.
Teachers Pay Teachers is great because, once you've listed an item, this income is completely passive, so you won't need to lift a finger.
4.
Ebates
If you shop online, you need
Ebates. I've been a member since 2013 and have reaped the benefits ever since. As a member, you are
paid cash through Ebates based on a percentage of the purchase you make. Even if you only make nine cents, they will send you your money each quarter.
There's no catch and no fees. Ebates makes their money through advertising and promotions, so the companies get charged, not you.
To use Ebates, create an account and download the web extension. When you shop online, you will get a reminder to activate cash back. This is especially useful during the holidays or for back-to-school clothes shopping. Once you click the button, there's nothing more to do. Your payments will come through PayPal or a check in the mail.
5.
Twitter
While sending tweets is not the most glamorous job, once you collect a following and start getting retweeted, your 140 characters will bring followers to your products and pages.
By tweeting, you can get followers on one platform to follow you on another. While tweeting itself is not passive, when my tweets about Teachers Pay Teachers bring people to my store, I end up with more people making quality purchases.
